Cupar Analytics Ltd was founded in St Andrews, Scotland, to provide specialist analysis of complex environmental datasets, with a particular focus on active acoustic data.
The core expertise lies in the processing and interpretation of echosounder data – transforming large, complex datasets into clear, usable outputs that support monitoring, assessment, and decision-making.
Many acoustic datasets are difficult to work with in practice, due to their size, structure, and sensitivity to noise and survey conditions. A key part of the work is developing practical approaches to handle these challenges efficiently, ensuring that outputs are both robust and directly usable.
Alongside acoustic processing, projects often involve integrating environmental and ecological data to support interpretation, modelling, and broader system understanding. This includes applications across fisheries, ecosystem dynamics, and environmental assessment.
Work has included fish monitoring systems, acoustic survey analysis, seabed mapping, and ecological modelling, across multiple sites and datasets. The emphasis is on reliable, repeatable workflows and delivering outputs that can be used directly in analysis, reporting, and operational settings.
Projects range from one-off datasets to longer-term support for ongoing monitoring or survey programs, with a focus on practical delivery and efficient turnaround.
Based in Scotland, working globally.
